Three State Flyers - 2 nights, 2 states, 2 tracks

The Three State Flyers super late model series held a pair of $5000 to win races at a pair of Greg Gunter tracks this weekend. Potomac Speedway on Friday, and Winchester Speedway on Saturday. Greg put up some extra incentives, and included a two-night points challenge that would give the overall points winner over the two nights an extra $800, as well as an extra $1000 if someone could win both nights.

Friday night saw an extremely hot night that included 34 super late models, along with support divisions of street stocks, strictly stocks and hobby stocks. In front of a big crowd enduring the 100+ degree heat, Jeremy Miller prevailed with a last lap pass of Josh Richards.

Saturday started with even hotter temperatures (which thankfully cooled down when the sun went down) and saw a field of 34 super late models, along with support classes of pure stocks, four cylinders and u-cars. And added to the bill from a rain-out earlier in the year, limited late models were on hand for another round of the Potomac/Winchester challenge. Josh Richards took command early on this night, and dominated the race to take home the checkered flag.

The overall two-night point title was split between Richards and Miller.

Great crowds have been the norm at Potomac Speedway since Greg Gunter took over!
