How can anyone have free speech in here when you cannot even say how freakin stupid a driver is that is not even close to EVER being in the championship and he takes out to championship contenders!!!

you can say it all you want without the name calling. Saying it was a stupid move is one thing (it was a stupid move) but calling Robby Gordon an idot or any other name will not be tolerated on these forums.
I will keep my eye on this thread. B)

Well, I will say Robby Gordon showed some very poor judgement in his retaliation bump of Biffle. And it was extremely stupid of him to announce in advance that he was going to "take care of him"!! :) But, you know what..........Jr did an intentional spin and announced it too!! :D What about Kurt last year that caused him to get a bloody nose? All very poor judgement........all very stupid things to do!! They all get caught up in the heat of moment.............and they all do stupid stuff!! :D
Is Robby an idiot? Probably not. Is what Robby did an idiotic move? Oh yeah, it sure was!! That's my thoughts and if anyone is offended, then all I can say is that you, too, may be caught up in the "heat of the moment"!! :cheers:

Of course there isn't free speech here. There isn't free speech anywhere.
All speech is restricted by the community in which it is in. This community chooses to not allowed certain types of speech namely unabashed driver bashing.
Some have a big problem drawing the difference between criticism and bashing. I think bowtie pretty well drew the line in the post above.
If you can't live with the restrictions this communty draws, go find a community that draws retrictions more to your liking.

It was a stupid move on the part of Robby, but that doesn't make him a stupid person, maybe a bit of poor judgement by announcing it on the radio.
To bad for him because I feel this will seal the deal once and for all and he will probably be gone from RCR next year, if not next week.
Just my two cents.

Definition of stupid move = a driver that you don't like that takes out another driver, especially if the driver taken out is one of your favorites. :)

Well I happen to like Robby Gordon but that doesn't keep me from seeing as really stupied move on his part.

Good definition. One driver is an Idiot if he takes out your favorite driver. But if your favorite takes out someone he is not an idiot. It's just a racing deal. :lol:

Sooooooooo funny!!!!! IMHO, what Robby DID wasn't very smart.
What he SAiD before he DID something, wasn't too dern brainy either.
Jooooonyer was no different, 'cept he didn't take anybody out with him.
Both were mouthy, as was Kurt Busch when he was referring
to the "older drivers" on the track.
Just remember, kids; what you are watching is what NASCAR created.
Short tempers, excessive aggression, and more anger. All them
evil things will manifest themselves in plenty before this is over.
The best thing to do if it upsets you, is watch a good movie.
Or go for a nice drive somewhere relaxing. LOL

Today was not Robby Gordon's best by no means. An ill handling car, a bump, a retaliation, and Sterling Marlin. What else can you say. Better luck next week! Too bad for Stewart, and Mayfield that got the worst of it.
Richard Childress could do better! B)

Actually I like Robby Gordon, he is a hard charger, but makes a mistake on occasion. like today. and biffle is one I don't really care for.

Mistake? Or does he have a little of Tony Stewart in him? :D High strung comes to my mind when people speak of either of those two!! Not really a bad thing for a driver in this sport.........just, sometimes that gets in the way of wisdom!! :)

Robby Gordon and Tony Stewart are throwbacks. They came into the sport 15 years too late. Back in the day, they would fit in perfectly, but drivers and Nascar these days cant handle that anymore.

Not parked.............he very dumbly allowed his emotions to get the better of him and attempted to take Biffle out. That is worth the penalty he got.........the stuff with Tony and Jeremy was just bad luck on their part. Six weeks ago it would have been a dumb move on Robby's part and a "racing deal" on Jeremy's and Tony's part. Now, if Robby had attempted to take Kurt out, that would be entirely different.
Drivers in the Chase who get caught up in someone else's mess is all part of racing. Everyone screams to be consistent......let's be consistent. Robby did a foolish thing............but Robby did not attempt to take someone who's in the Chase out. That part was an accident.

DE, agreed. It was a dumb move, he let his emotions get the better of him, but he did not intentionally wreck Stewart or Mayfield, he didnt even wreck them at all, they just got caught in the mess.
Did anyone read the article at TR? Nascar said even if Robby was the car in line to get the lucky dog, he wouldnt be able to get it. Niiiiiiiice. Is it Mike Helton or Vince McMahon up in the booth? I love how they make rules on the fly. :rolleyes:

Robby NOT Happy, gestures to media: Following the race [at New Hampshire], a large media contingent gathered outside Gordon's hauler. After parking his #31 Cingular Chevrolet, Gordon got out of the car, pushed aside XM Satellite Radio reporter Claire B. Lang saying, "Get out of here." He then walked to a golf cart without saying a word, and before being driven off, directed an obscene gesture toward the crowd of media."(ThatsRacin.com)....yikes

Harvick has calmed down and you know that. When he said he was going to wreck Coy Gibbs on purpose, NASCAR parked him. Why didn't NASCAR park Robby? He did the same exact thing Harvick did back in 2002. Robby has been actin' like a complete ass to all of his fellow racers, and I wouldn't be surprised if RC finds a replacement for the 31.

Im not defending Robby Gordon, I dont agree with what he did yesterday, but to fire him over that? Riiiiiiiiight. In that case Harvick should have been out of a job in 2002.
Lets compare both Gordon and Harvick's careers at RCR in Cup:
Harvick = 4 wins in 133 starts = 1 win every 33 races
Gordon = 3 wins in 109 starts = 1 win every 36 races
Seeing as Harvick is RCR's flagship team, they are both very very close.

If RG does leave I wonder if Harvick will be able to get his team and cars back. He just hasn't done too well since they switched. And, Robby hasn't improved all that much to see a difference. In the meantime I don't doubt Burton will be able to be the class of that stable of drivers...

Youre mistaken. That move was done to help Harvick, not Robby. Immediately after that move Harvick had his best season in 2003. He hasnt done crap since.

Hmmmm.. all those Busch wins, Busch championship, Winston Cup rookie of the year, Brickyard 400 victory, jumping into a car and winning in his 3rd start, finished in the top 10 in points despite missing a race, has won half of the races ran at Chicago... need I say more? Lets not forget that he won the Busch championship and Cup Rookie of the Year.. in the same year!
Now.. Robby's stats..
Has wrecked almost 60% of his fellow racers (pretty good stat if I do say so myself), won at Road Course tracks, won a NH... well.. that pretty much does it.

Right. Busch has no revelance to Cup whatsoever. Different leagues. If thats the case do I need to bring up Robby's numerous victories in IMSA, GTA, CART, Off-Road, etc etc etc?
Quick stat: Robby has won at least one race in every single type of racing he has competed in, except for the Truck Series, in which he only has 3 starts.
And dont even bring up 2001, the only reason Harvick was good was because he was using Dale Earnhardt's old cars and notes. Derrick freaking Cope could have jumped in that #3/#29 car and had a victory also. Since that season Harvick's colors have shined, 2 wins in 3 years, a wonderful stat for the flagship RCR team huh?

Nascar will park Robby any chance they get, its pretty obvious Robby has never been on the Nascar's good side. The difference is Robby has never disrespected Nascar, and Kevin did, which is the main reason why he got suspended.

Nascar will park Robby any chance they get, its pretty obvious Robby has never been on the Nascar's good side. The difference is Robby has never disrespected Nascar, and Kevin did, which is the main reason why he got suspended.
That's true and I agree with you there, but he has straightened up A LOT since then. Robby on the other hand tries to wreck people without thinking about it. He's not a team player at all, and doesn't help out anyone else but himself.

I still think Kevin is as bad (or Robby is as good) as Harvick though. :D
One reason why this board is the shizz, you can actually have an argument with someone and it not turn into a pissing match. Seriously, over at that "other" board I cant believe how many ummm... fools, are there. :blink:

That is funny...two guys argueing about who has done more in Cup racing between Robby Gordon and Kevin Harvick :P
It's kind of like debating which of the three stooges was the smartest one :wacko:
Seriously though, Robby is a much more accomplished driver over his entire racing career. But you are really comparing apples to oranges. Robby wants to race anything, anytime, anywhere, anyplace. Harvick seems to have kind of always had the Cup series in mind.
By the way...I do applaud you guys for spicing this up without childish and offensive. Well done gentlemen. :cheers:

Robby should have been parked because there was no reason for him to do what he did.* It seems like that helmet is a little tight for his head nowadays.
and that comming from a Harvick fan? :huh:
Harvick has calmed down and you know that. When he said he was going to wreck Coy Gibbs on purpose, NASCAR parked him. Why didn't NASCAR park Robby? He did the same exact thing Harvick did back in 2002. Robby has been actin' like a complete ass to all of his fellow racers, and I wouldn't be surprised if RC finds a replacement for the 31.
Well Robby has been a clean driver for the most part of the year and has spun less ppl the Harvick has, Most the time when he has crased it was just him or he got ran in to. so Robby has not been a 100% ass this year.
i did not see what happaned so i dont know.

Lets compare both Gordon and Harvick's careers at RCR in Cup:
Harvick = 4 wins in 133 starts = 1 win every 33 races
Gordon = 3 wins in 109 starts = 1 win every 36 races
Seeing as Harvick is RCR's flagship team, they are both very very close.
Too bad that 2 of those 3 wins for Robby were at Road Courses, the only places where his driving is actually worth a damn.
Too bad that 2 of those 4 wins for Kevin were at Chicago, the only places where his driving is actually worth a damn.
im sorry but that is funny! :lol: :XXROFL:
