That is crap. Shame on all of them. This race needed to be over.

Because it was a garbage race.

I do not think that was the case. I think they wanted the race red flagged.

It was a No Bull Race. They do that every time.

Rewatch the end of the race. A whole bunch of stuff was flying out of the stands, I believe on the back stretch. Of couse NASCAR moved the cameras off as soon as they realized what was happening.

Right.

People were throwing trash onto the track, voicing their opinions on what they thought about the race.

If that were the case fine, but unfortunately, I think the fans wanted more blood, and that is my point. That race needed to end.

Either way it's a pretty sad statement about the state of NASCAR.

I get so bummed about the sport after plate races...:(

Looked like programs. I've been to football games where they throw water bottles everytime our team would score a goal, so it looked like something like that.

I don't think the fans wanted to see it under caution, but i don't think they were too upset about the race. A lot more cautions than there normally was today though, wasn't a surprise to see another at the end the way they were racing.

paul

IMO, the fans were showing their disgust with the race as a whole. Who in their right mind wants to pay the costs of attending a race and see that crap? I will spare you kind and benevolent souls my real opinion of the race, and only state that once again, one car and one car only could break the draft at will without going backward. If you saw it, you know which car. I kept waiting for Stone Cold Steve Austin or somebody to crawl out of a car. Thank God only one more of these fiascos to go this year. Plate racing was developed (under the guise of safety, which did play a small role but the need for plates to keep the cars out of the fence has been surpassed by technology) to help one manufacturer, in the words of Jaws, "keep up with that number nine Ford." Looks to me like they are still benefitting from it. I'd pay to go to a damn figure skating meet before I'd attend a plate race for free. The fans at the track had every right to be indignant. Throwing things on the track is too far though. Just be glad the race wasn't in Detroit....can you imagine all those octopi??

LOL!!TN-WARD-FAN,as usual you are right on the money man!To hell with being 'p.c'all the time:Nascar benefits from certain 'drivers' doing well.It is not popular to say,not on a forum board anyway, but anyone with brains enough to pour $#@% out of a boot can see it more and more these days.'Cole Tricklehardt'is young and bringing chick-fans in...not too mention those that were fans of'Cole Tricklehardt Sr.'Therefore:He,or something linked to him,MUST do well...at least on the only track where they have the best 'chance'.I really am not a basher of particular drivers...I have a respect for most of them, but most people reading this will understand the point.Nascar itself is getting pathetic. An old, ugly, unpopular driver does not bring the kind of attention, and money, that Nascar craves...Look at the 'super-star'circle Nascar has nourished over the last ten years.About 5 guys that REALLY bring in the cash and souvenier sales. The 5 or so guys Nascar has a very vested interest in.

And,sadly, the only thing that might change this crap is what happened after last nights 'race'.Just my opinion, but one I strongly believe in.

Maybe that fan boycott is right around the corner!!!!

The problem is consistency with the red flags! If they are going to throw it, throw it every time or don't throw it at all in situations like this !!!!
